Everything operates from a certain structure. it simple “rules“ that gives it parameters but within those parameters you can be innovative if you are creative enough. For example the function of alphabets led to such things as books, signs, menus, social media, and most importantly educational facilities. Learning about the individual letters and their meaning is essential in order to even understand these words your reading. This concept can be applied to anything because it is the nature of our Universe. Once you are able to break something down to its function you begin to understand how it works. Kids enter school not really knowing how to read and write what little words they can conjure up, to young adults that read books and type research papers. This all took time to develop, but through time the skills get more and more advanced the more you understand the parameters. You are able to put things together in a unique way to create something within those parameters. That is our gift, more like our superpower which we all have access to. It’s awareness of the rules that gives us clarity and direction that we need. Without knowing the function of how this work can be swept away by the overwhelming data that life can present at one given moment. That’s why it can take certain people their whole lifetime to understand how something can be put to it’s very best use, it helps them understand the world that they’re living in that much better. What made me start thinking about this was the game of basketball. Within the game itself it has rules and parameters which many players have come to transcend. The game keeps evolving but the basic rules stay the same. The principles used to transcend can be applied to almost everything it all depends on how you look at it. My good friend Rick Paris taught me this and many other valuable lessons that are very important to me.
